Alice Cooper has named the replacement for touring guitarist Nita Strauss, who announced earlier this week that she is leaving the band.
Cooper announced that his former guitarist Kane Roberts will be returning to his band’s lineup this year to complete the fall trek of his Detroit Muscle tour.
Cooper said he is looking forward to welcoming back Roberts for the band’s shows in September and October.
“We’ve been friends all this time, and he’s always been one of my favorite guitarists. He’s bringing more muscle to the Detroit Muscle Tour,” Cooper said. “We’ve always had a swinging door policy where players can come and go, so it’s very exciting to get back on stage with Kane.”
“The fans are in for a real treat at these shows. It’s gonna be a blast. Kane Roberts, Ryan Roxie, and Tommy Henriksen on guitars? Hell yeah,” he added.
Roberts was a member of the Alice Cooper band for three years, until he parted ways to pursue a solo career in 1988.
Announcing her departure, Strauss had revealed that she will not be part of the legendary rocker’s Fall 2022 tour.
Strauss, 35, was hired to replace Orianthi as Cooper’s touring guitarist in June 2014.
