Artie Lange is in trouble with the law again.
The comedian, who was just busted in January for drug possession, was reportedly arrested Tuesday morning at a New Jersey a halfway house for violating his drug court program.
Lange, 51, was arrested at 7:42 a.m. at addiction treatment center Freedom House, a spokesperson for the Essex County Sheriff’s Office told NorthJersey.com. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday.
“He was taken into custody for failing to comply with the terms of his participation in the drug program,” a spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office told the website.
The former “Mad TV” star was processed Tuesday and is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility.
Details of his violation were not immediately reported.
Lange, who has been open about his long history with drug abuse, was serving four years’ probation for heroin possession and in December of last year tested positive for cocaine but dodged jail time. He also opened up about his nose becoming “deformed” due to years of drug abuse.
The star seemed to be makings strides as just last month Lange was filmed happily completing his community service as a trash collector while seeking treatment for addiction.
“He’s doing really well,” his rep told Page Six at the time.
Lange’s rep did not immediately respond to our request for comment Tuesday.
