Caroline Flack’s sweet nickname for Danny Cipriani as he shares last message

Danny Cipriani revealed the sweet nickname Caroline Flack had for him as posted her final messages to Instagram .

The rugby star, who enjoyed a brief relationship with the Love Island host last year, opted to screenshot their final exchange and share it with his 200,000 followers on the site, explaining it was part of his 'healing process.'

Having shared a close relationship with Caroline, Danny has been rocked by news the TV star had taken her own life earlier this month weeks ahead of her assault trial.

Caroline and Danny are said to have dated between April and May last year, before she got together with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

In the messages shared online by Danny, he revealed that Caroline referred to him as 'black dot.'

"Hello 🙂 Black dot. I'm ok. How you?" Caroline had wrote to him.

In the accompanying caption, Danny said that at first he'd been confused by Caroline's choice of alias but was later informed by one of her friends the real reason why.

He said it was because he changed his profile picture on the app to a black dot because he felt he couldn't trust people in his contacts.

He wrote: "I didn't really know what she meant when she called me black dot. Until her best friend told me on Sunday last week.

"She used to call you black dot, now i know, your WhatsApp pic is a black dot" – so i changed my WhatsApp pic to a black dot about 5 months ago because i felt there were people who had my number who i couldn't trust.

'Ultimately I would have let them into my life. So ultimately I would have to ask myself why. Anyway. This story is about the beauty she found in a situation i found uncomfortable.

"'I'm just talking to black dot" she would say. She was kind beyond belief. And she would think i am crazy doing all this. But i know she would be proud."

Danny then announced he was taking some time off social media.

"I'm taking lent off social media. Thank you all for the kind messages," he finished.

The sportsman also said was disabling the comments so as not to receive any negative replies to his heartfelt post.

It comes just days after Danny last took to Instagram to share a video of him detailing his grief over Caroline.

Speaking straight to the camera, Danny said he struggled with mental health and had once tried to buy a gun to kill himself.

He also heartbreakingly revealed how Caroline had tried to contact him hours before she took her own life.
