Coronation Street actress Sally Carman has a busy year ahead with two weddings to look forward to both on-and-off screen.

The 39 year old, who is known for playing Abi Franklin on the popular soap opera, got engaged to boyfriend and co-star Joe Duttine last March while her character is to be married to Kevin Webster, who is played by Michael Le Vell, 56.

The mechanic popped the question to boyfriend Kevin after he came close to losing his life by being locked in the Bistro fridge by Ray Crosby.

Between the two, Sally, who recently showed off her incredible sleeve arm tattoo, confessed her TV wedding will come along first while her real life one to Joe, 50, who plays Tim Metcalfe, will most likely take place in winter this year, depending on the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions.

When asked which is most likely to be first, the soap star told WhatsOnTV: "The TV wedding. Covid-permitting, my real wedding will be at Christmas this year, hopefully. Fingers crossed!”

Abi and Kevin are planning a summer wedding and Sally explained that the service will be conducted by Kevin's first wife Sally Metcalfe.

"Sally volunteers her services as chief bridesmaid / maid of honour, and Abi’s not having it; she’s like ‘I don’t want bridesmaids – stop taking over!’ because Kevin gets her in to organise the wedding," the star explained.
