Daniel Craig needs surgery after accident on James Bond set

Daniel Craig needs surgery after being injured on the set of the new James Bond movie.

The actor will undergo minor surgery on his ankle after an accident on the set in Jamaica.

Daniel will need to take two weeks off from filming to recover from the operation.

Despite his unanticipated break, the film remains on track for the same release date, bosses have said.

A tweet from the official James Bond account said: "BOND 25 update: Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica.

"Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020."
