Piers Morgan, 55, has fumed on Twitter after Dominic Cummings appeared at a select committee today to provide evidence against the Conservative government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The former Good Morning Britain host said “heads should roll” after the former chief advisor to the prime minister said the government “failed” when the public needed it most.
Piers typed: “Wow. Cummings is confirming everything I feared about our Government’s appalling handling of this Pandemic.
“His testimony is utterly devastating & exposes a terrifying level of incompetence & deceit led by Boris Johnson & Matt Hancock that cost 1000s of lives.
“Heads should roll,” he added furiously.
In response, his followers shared their divisive views over Piers’ remarks.
One said: “How come you believe everything Cummings says now, but called him out for being dishonest by breaking lockdown rules ???”
Another replied: “Wow people who thought Cummings was a liar now believe every word he says because it suits their narrative #shock.”
A third commented: “What’s clear is that Boris followed the advice he was given.”
