Lady Gaga shows off claw-like hand tattoo on her back in strapless black dress

Lady Gaga proudly showed off her eye-catching back tattoos as she was seen stepping out in Hollywood, California, on Monday evening.

The singer and actress made an uncharacteristically demure appearance as she visited US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live! wearing a black strapless mini dress that revealed her collection of body art.

The most standout of Gaga’s inkings was a claw-shaped hand with long fingers and pointy fingernails that could be seen poking out from the top of her dress at the back, which also had black billowing sleeves attached to it.

Hard not to notice, the 35 year old smiled for the cameras as the claw-like hand almost stole attention from her outfit, which was paired with black shiny court heels and large tinted sunglasses.

Surrounding the tattooed hand could also be seen an image of three flowers bound together with ribbon, as well as a heart symbol with the words ‘Dad’ transcribed in the middle, in tribute to Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta.

The artist wore her bleached blonde hair loosely straightened and parted to the side and sported a pink glossy lip as she stood posed for the photographers to catch a glimpse of her ensemble – and back tattoos – before making her exit.

During filming for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gaga discussed her latest role playing real-life convict Patrizia Reggiani in the movie, House of Gucci, which was released last year.

Known worldwide for her musical talents, the musician received praise for her method acting with the character – which is Gaga’s second feature in a major motion picture after starring as singer Ally in the 2018 film, A Star is Born.

The star told host Jimmy Kimmel that acting had actually been her first passion before music, which might come as a surprise for die-hard Gaga fans to learn.

“I always wanted to be an actress much more than I wanted to be a singer,” Gaga said.

“I always wanted to be an actress but I was really terrible at auditioning.”

The Born This Way singer studied at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts before dropping out to complete a major in music instead, which obviously paid off for the artist.

Now enjoying acting alongside music, Gaga spoke of the many interesting experiences she had working on House of Gucci – one in particular being a make-out session she had with co-star Salma Hayek in a scene that was eventually cut out from the film.

"I made out with Salma Hayek,' said Gaga. "I'm like that really annoying kid in school that's bragging that they made out with the popular girl but has no proof."
