Lee Ryan was reportedly arrested after he had an explosive outburst on a flight to London from Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.
The 39 year old is said to have kicked off during a flight into London City Airport after the cabin crew refused to serve him alcohol.
Lee went on to have a foul-mouthed rant on the British Airways plane whilst refusing to return to his seat, and “turned the air blue”, passengers have stated.
The Blue singer’s disruptive behaviour was thought to have occurred for 20 minutes mid-flight and led to him being arrested for suspicion of public order offences.
The Met Office confirmed an arrest following the Sunday flight. They told The Mirror: “At around 1640hrs on Sunday, 31 July, officers met a flight that had arrived at London City Airport from Glasgow.
"A 39-year-old man was arrested for a public order offence. He was taken into custody at an east London police station and was released under investigation the following day."
OK! have contacted Lee's representatives for comment.
One passenger on the London-bound flight described Lee’s behaviour as “crazy” at the time, as they told The Sun: “Never mind singing with Blue, he turned the air blue with his language.
"He became aggressive with the air hostesses once it became clear he wouldn’t get given alcohol.
"At one point he left his seat and started walking up and down the aisle despite being told to sit down — he even ran behind the cabin crew curtains. It was crazy behaviour."
Lee joined boyband Blue in 2000, along with members Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Anthony Costa and the foursome went on to have huge success in their music career.
The former popstar is married to X Factor star Verity Paris and the pair share a daughter, who they welcomed last year. Lee also has daughter Bluebell, 13, and son Rayn, 12, from previous relationships.
Lee announced that he had married longtime girlfriend Verity, 31, in an intimate ceremony in March.
"I met someone finally who loves and supports me in everything I do,” he said at the time.
"Verity is a beautiful, strong and loving woman who I treasure, and I’m a lucky man to have such a wonderful mother for my child, and now wife in her.
"I’ve never been more calm and grounded and I have Verity to thank for that. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life because of the wonderful family life I now have."
