Lorraine Kelly has spoken out on Katie Price's recent car accident, for which she has been charged with driving while disqualified.
The 61 year old made the comments during her regularly scheduled TV programme in her own name on ITV while speaking to Good Morning Britain correspondent Nick Dixon.
Nick recalled how 43 year old Katie's family shared an emotional statement about her, explaining how "worried" they are for her wellbeing before explaining they've asked her 2.6million Instagram fans to post "positive messages".
Lorraine responded: "I really hope that she does get the help that she clearly, clearly, needs. Maybe this is a wake up call, but what a horrible one."
The presenter went on to add that Katie "shouldn't have been behind the wheel" as she could've hurt someone.
Katie is understood to be banned from driving and wasn't due to get her licence back until the end of the year.
Following the crash, she was taken to hospital by ambulance and a Sussex Police spokeswoman told OK!: "Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green around 6.20am on Tuesday (September 28).
“A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and has been taken to hospital to be checked over.
“The road was blocked temporarily while recovery of the vehicle was arranged.”
Sussex Police have since confirmed she's being charged with driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Many of Katie's family members and celebrity friends have spoken out in support of her, including Michelle Heaton.
The 42 year old former Liberty X star shared a message to her 298,000 Instagram followers, which read: "As you all know, Katie was there for me when I needed her and I of course am there for her! Right now, please give us all space."
She continued: "Our friendship over 21 years is built on trust. At this point I just reiterate what her family have already said and will support all in private.
"To anyone else out there who needs help – ask for it and you’ll be surprised at the support that’s given to you. Asking is the hardest but first step."
