Love Island fans have been left gobsmacked after they learnt sexy singleton Aaron Francis has a famous on-screen relative.

The new islander, 24, has revealed his cousin is none other than Made in Chelsea star Hugo Taylor on Monday.

It appears that TV stardom is in the blood as Aaron, who attended Princess Eugenie and Beatrice's weddings, opened up about his reality star relative as he prepared to enter the Love Island villa.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he revealed that although the pair aren’t close, he has been able to get an idea as to what life is like on a TV show.

He told the publication: “Hugo is my cousin. I haven’t seen him in a while. We aren’t that close. But if I ever wanted to ask him for advice, I could. I’m quite close to his dad, too.

“Being related to Hugo and seeing what life is like for him means I can gauge what it is like to be on a TV show.”

Hugo, 35, was one of the original cast members of Made in Chelsea when the show first aired in 2011, before he left the show one year later.

Since then, he has gone on to appear on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Come Dine With Me, Dinner Date and Celebrity Wedding Planner.

Despite leaving the reality show so early on, Hugo has kept in touch with several of the cast members and even married his co-star Millie Mackintosh, 31, in 2018.

The doting husband now shares daughter Sienna, 13 months, with his loving wife and recently revealed they are expecting their second baby girl later on this year.

Meanwhile, Aaron will be going into the television industry for the first time after he was accepted onto the show as one of the 11 islanders and admitted that he is very new to being in the public eye.

The Londoner currently works as a model but hopes that his appearance on the hit ITV2 dating show will give him new career opportunities in the same way Hugo's break afforded him new opportunities.

He said: “I will continue with modelling. In terms of everything else, it depends how well I do on the show. I’d like to see what opportunities and assess them and see what kind of route I’d like to go down.”

Love Island airs on weekdays at 9pm on ITV2
