Claudia Fogarty has revealed that she has 'never been happier' as she gushes over her new boyfriend Olly Crankshaw, who she went public with in September.
The Love Island star, 29, entered the famous villa almost nine months ago, and while she may not have found a lasting connection on the ITV2 show, good things come to those who wait.
Chatting to OK! at the launch of new restaurant Fenix in Manchester, Claudia gushed over her new footballer beau, who is an Altrincham winger. "I've got a boyfriend and it's amazing, I've never been happier," shared the star.
She continued: "When I came out of Love Island, I really struggled because when guys know who you are, it’s hard to trust people and meet someone you gel with.
"But then I met Olly and we just hit it off from day one. I’ve never been happier.
"We chatted about a year ago but nothing came of it, but everything happens for a reason, maybe I did Love Island to lead me to meeting Olly and being here."
Appearing on Love Island, Claudia, who is the daughter of motorcycle ace Carl Fogarty, had a tough time in the villa as she coupled up with Casey O'Gorman but was left emotional when he decided to recouple with newcomer Rosie Seabrook.
Talking about how things were following the show, Claudia admitted: "Life changes a lot after love island, you’re thrown into the deep end of fame and aren’t really sure what to do or where to go. It was really hard.
"But now, I'm finding my feet, I'm really happy. It’s been a whirlwind, but a good one. I would never regret it, ever, but it was hard."
Claudia donned a stunning diamante embellished blazer for the night out as we chatted in Manchester's Spinningfields area, with beau Olly standing close by as the pair enjoyed a night on the town together for the Greek-Mediterranean restaurant bash.
While stars such as Molly-Mae Hague, Ed Westwick, Ryan Thomas and Gary Neville all brushed by during the VIP evening.
Claudia's sister Danielle, who has recently welcomed a baby boy, also attended the bash, as Claudia shared their plans for Christmas in the Fogerty household.
"I am such a family person, I spend all my time around family and I love being an auntie, it's the best job in the world. So, I’ll be at the Fogerty household all through Christmas.
"I’ve not confirmed my plans for New Year’s Eve yet but I think i'll be busy on New Year's Day, i prefer that, the 31st is so overrated."
