Mis-Teeq’s Su-Elise Nash welcomes her first child – a son called Blu

Congratulations are in order for Mis-Teeq singer Su-Elise Nash who has announced that she has given birth to her first child.

Introducing the newborn in a series of snaps shared to her Instagram on Tuesday evening, the 39 year old revealed that she and her partner Ryan had named him Blu St David Jones.

"HELLO WORLD… meet our son… Blu St David Jones. We have never felt so in love. He is everything we wished for and more…" the stunning songstress captioned the snap.

Su-Elise also shared pictures of her holding her baby and a slew of others in which the youngster slept soundly in his cot.

The post caught the attention of her former Mis-Teeq bandmates, with Alesha Dixon commenting: "Love him so much already."

Sabrina Washington also showed her delight at the news as she left a love heart eyes emoji.

Su-Elise announced her pregnancy in January with a post of her partner Ryan cradling her stomach while on a beach in Sydney, Australia.

"The butterflies you give me have turned into little feet … and just like that our new adventure has begun. We can't wait to meet our baby son," she wrote at the time.

Su-Elise was known as UK garage group Mis. Teeq's backing singer.

The band became a household name after forming in 1999 and delivering hits such as Scandalous, All I Want and B With Me.

After leaving Mis.Teeq, Middlesex University graduate Su-Elise went back to hit the books.

She received a teaching qualification and opened the Su-Elise Stage School for performing arts in Kent.

Su-Elise has also appeared on an array of panel shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Freshly Squeezed and Live from Studio Five.
