Nadine Coyle has made a defiant return to the stage following the death of her former Girls Aloud bandmate and close friend Sarah Harding.

On Saturday night, the Irish beauty, 36, took to the stage as part of the Bongo's Bingo tour at Content in Liverpool.

As well as her own single All That I Know, Nadine also performed the Girls Aloud hit Love Machine.

A video captured by a Twitter user showed Nadine performing in a black leather bodysuit with natural looking make-up.

Nadine is also scheduled to perform in Newcastle, Leeds, Hull, Leamington Spa and Wolverhampton as part of the Bongo's Bingo show throughout October.

Nadine's performance comes after bandmate Cheryl, 38, announced she was pulling out of a headline slot at Birmingham Pride to process her grief.

The star explained to fans that she does not feel “emotionally, mentally or physically able“ to perform.

Writing on Instagram in a lengthy post, Cheryl wrote: “Saying goodbye to somebody you spent such a massive piece of your life with is like nothing else.

"My heart is heavy. Grief is such a harsh experience and an absolute rollercoaster of emotions, questions without answers and pain without resolve. So tumultuous and constant."

She ended her post with: "Nothing prepares you for this bit" alongside a broken red heart emoji.

Sarah tragically passed away on 5 September at the age of 39 after a battle with breast cancer.

Speaking after the announcement of Sarah's sad death, Nadine wrote to her 471,000 Instagram followers: "I am absolutely devastated!!

"I can't think of words that could possibly express how I feel about this girl & what she means to me!!

"I know so many of you will be feeling this way. For now I’m sending so much love to you!!!"
