The 33-year-old TV presenter got a little too emotional for his own liking after tuning in and took to Twitter. Rylan Clark-Neal posted: “OMG I should never have watched And Just Like That,” (sic), following his sentiment with a series of crying emojis.

“Need a Jaffa Cake?” the snack’s official Instagram account jokingly questioned him.

However from Rylan’s tone, it sounded like he also needed a box of tissues and perhaps a lie down on the couch.

He added jokingly: “And a lobotomy.”

Kevinsm17 shot back: “Have you booked your counselling sessions to help you cope with this atrocious torture of your mind?”

Meanwhile intrigued fans poured into the comments section to speculate over what the emotional scenes that had triggered Rylan to feel so strongly might have been.

MissDi22 replied: “I’m not liking what I see in the comments.

“Does someone die??!!!!

“I’m trying to think the last time I was devastated in previous movies… the wedding day.”

Joining in with her own tearful emojis, she added: “The only thing I can thing of that is equivalent is Mr. Big passing maybe by heart attack due to his history.

“I won’t be seeing it for a while so if that’s what happens it’s better I know now.”

The first episode premiered on HBO Max earlier today and Rylan had clearly been one of the first to catch a glimpse of the latest storylines.

CarlyPotter1, who’d also caught the screening, wrote cryptically: “No-one needed that.”

“Oh god!! should I?? How many tissues do I need? Chocolate? Wine?” ZoeVenn asked.

Those hungry for a big reveal about Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and friends should tread carefully as it has been warned that there are “spoilers all over Twitter”.

Some who had already watched shared in Rylan’s sorrow, with Stigster replying: “Passing tissues. I’ll be in a black veil for the foreseeable.”

Meanwhile Deebewarm laughed: “I was so distraught that I unwrapped a child’s selection box and ate 3 of the bars!”

Deadline had reported that the ten episode series will follow the cast anew “as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s”.

Sex And The City was originally created by Darren Star, who is also responsible for Emily In Paris.
