Perrie Edwards gushes over boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain playing Little Mix to baby Axel

Perrie Edwards has revealed her boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing her band Little Mix’s songs to their baby son Axel.

The 28 year old opened up on the adorable moment during an interview with the rest of her Little Mix bandmates on Capital Breakfast Wednesday morning.

Asked by Capital Radio presenter Roman Kemp Perrie what her beau’s favourite song from the group was, Perrie recalled how she heard him singing it to their little boy.

Laughing about the moment, the star, who just took her son on his first sunny holiday, looked back on one evening when she was getting ready to go out.

“Well actually the other night, he had a message from his friends and they were like ‘Between Us is a bop by the way, it’s so sick’,” the mum-of-one shared.

“And I was in the bathroom getting ready and I heard him playing it to Axel saying ‘This is mummy! This one is mummy!’”

The singer went on to say the scene was so heartwarming she almost couldn’t cope watching it.

“I can’t, my heart was literally bursting out of my chest, so cute,” Perrie giggled.

“But he loves all of them. Alex’s favourite song – Little Mix song – ever, is actually ‘Holiday’,” she added.

Also during the interview, presenters Roman, Sonny Jay and Sian Welby pushed for concrete answers over whether Little Mix is headed for a break-up.

Sian asked if the band were planning on taking a “hiatus” first of all, as Jade Thirlwall insisted “Little Mix is forever”.

But Sonny went further and referenced the singers’ last lyric out of the whole album, which declares “what the hell do they know” in response to people thinking the band is due to split.

“I think no matter what Little Mix do, whether we venture out individually, whatever we do, Little Mix is forever, like Jade said,” Perrie explained. “We’ll always stick together, we’ll always tour.

“We’ll always do things together as a group, because, Little Mix is just, it’s fire.”

“And I hate to say it,” the star admitted, “[but] what we have is something special and we know that. And we know that Little Mix as the three of us is so so strong, so we never want that to be over, never ever ever.”

Jade, 28, then joked she wanted the band to be like the “Rolling Stones”, hopeful people will only be “sick” of them in “50 years’ time”.
