After suffering a challenging pregnancy plagued with back ache, Kate Ferdinand is looking forward to welcoming her baby boy with husband Rio in the next few weeks.
However, despite having her hospital bag packed and having finished decorating the nursery, they can’t make their minds up about one very crucial decision.
When asked if she’s picked out a name for their new arrival, Kate tentatively tells OK!: "We have a couple of potentials. But we’re just waiting to see what he looks like when he comes out and if he suits them."

She also reveals that Rio’s children Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12 and Tia, nine – whose mum Rebecca Ellison died of breast cancer in 2015 – have been very vocal in their opinions on the name of their new sibling.
"We discuss everything as a family," says Kate, who has acted as stepmother to the brood since she and Rio wed in September 2019.
She also adds that among their shortlist there is "one favourite name", but that she’s worried she’s already going off it!
"There’s one favourite name but the more I say it the more I go off it. So we’ve decided not to talk about it for a while!" she laughs.
One area in which Kate has no worries whatsoever is in getting support from her husband of a year, Rio Ferdinand.
"He’s always been very supportive," Kate says. "We’re 50/50 really. We share a lot of it. If he’s at work, I do stuff and if I’m struggling then he helps. He’s very good in that sense. I’m very lucky."
She’s also got extra help in the shape of Rio’s three children from his previous marriage.

Rio’s daughter Tia has had to get used to the fact that it’s a little baby brother that’s arriving, rather than a sister however!
"She really wanted a girl and was convinced it was," Kate tells OK!
She continues: "I thought it would be a girl as well at the beginning.
"But she’s fine now – we've come to terms with the fact we’re very outnumbered in a house of boys.
"I’ve said to her she’s the only princess and she’s quite happy with that."
