Ranvir Singh, 43, has responded to a tweet from Bruno Tonioli, after he praised her “star turn” on Strictly Come Dancing, seven months ago. The Good Morning Britain star had seemingly not seen the praise from the Italian choreographer at the time but was nonetheless flattered by his kind words.

How did I miss this!

Bruno, who is a judge on Strictly but had missed out on appearing during the 2020 series due to travel restrictions, had typed to Ranvir on November 8 2020: “#Strictly2020 nobody does it better @StrictlyPros 007 tribute great show imaginative and surprising no more so than the brilliantly choreographed @MaxGeorge routine and @ranvir01 star turn.”

Last night, the GMB host finally acknowledged the tweet, as she replied: “How did I miss this!!”

However, fans were confused about how she had managed to discover the post again months down the line.

One said: “How did u miss it? Girl, how did u find it again?”(sic)

Another responded: “Ranvir was amazing, Giovanni’s choreography was insane.”

A third commented: “I also missed seeing this tweet 7 months ago.”

While a fourth shared: “All of your dances were amazing! it’s been 6 months but I still rewatch some of them on a regular basis haha! We miss seeing you dance so much.”

It comes as Ranvir has admitted feeling “low” after her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing alongside professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, 30.

The broadcaster shared that she had messaged fellow contestants including Clara Amfo and Max George to see if they had experienced similar emotions following their departures from the show.

She said while on Good Morning Britain: “The second week out I felt so low and then I was messaging Clara and Max and they were going, ‘Yeah, it happens to everybody’.

“Everybody gets this comedown – it’s so strange.”

The star and her professional dance partner Giovanni missed out on a place in the final of the contest, after they lost out to Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer in a dance-off in the semi-final.

Ranvir also opened up on her relationship with Giovanni now the show is over, as she told viewers that the pair remain friends.

She shared: “I think we will stay friends. Why not? Because we have experienced something quite deep and quite intense actually.

“That’s a very special thing,” she added.

Ranvir also explained how Strictly helped with her self-esteem in her professional life.

Speaking on how she found her confidence on the show by remaining true to herself, the TV personality said: “I think because I was quite open and I didn’t really know how to pretend to be more enthusiastic… if I’m feeling a bit down or vice versa.

“I think honesty won the day in the end, even though it didn’t get me to the final.

“I think what’s lovely is loads and loads of people have found they can relate to my own insecurities.”

Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to BBC One this autumn.
