Rose Ayling-Ellis’ boyfriend’s pals are reportedly “worried” over how the partnership between Rose and Giovanni Pernice is affecting him. Rose’s partner of seven years is said to be “raising an eyebrow” over the state of her relationship with her Strictly Come Dancing professional partner, Giovanni, 31. The EastEnders actress, 27, has been in a relationship with Samuel Arnold for almost a decade, but a source has since claimed that he’s “concerned” over how close his girlfriend and Giovanni are becoming.

Rose and Italian dancer Giovanni have consistently wowed the judges with their performances week after week on the popular BBC show.

However, Rose’s boyfriend’s pals have reportedly been “worrying” that the duo’s friendly relationship is “hard” for him.

The source claimed to New Magazine: “Pals worry it’s hard for her boyfriend.

“He’s delighted for her, of course – she’s the star of the show,” they added.

They continued: “But there are concerns he is raising an eyebrow at their closeness.

“Rose and Giovanni have got a special kind of magic nobody could imagine. It’s very rare.

“Rose is very focused and wants to win, but she and Giovanni are getting closer and closer.

“You can see from the praise they’re giving each other and the open compliments about how proud they are of each other,” they explained. has contacted representatives for Rose and Giovanni for comment.

Last week, a source close to the Italian stallion claimed that the actress has had a lasting impact on the dance professional.

The source said: “Giovanni has really changed since meeting Rose, and for the better.

“He’s seen the obstacles Rose has had to face in life and he’s just in awe of her.

“She’s one of the first women who he’s met who’s not taken in by his charms, and she isn’t afraid to challenge him or take the p**s out of him, which he loves,” they told Heat magazine.

Giovanni and Rose frequently feature each other on their social media channels, displaying their good-natured relationship.

Last month, Giovanni broke his silence after splitting from his Love Island girlfriend Maura Higgins, explaining that the relationship had come to a “natural end”.

Last Saturday, Rose and Giovanni left the Strictly cast and viewers stunned after they performed their Couple’s Choice to Symphony by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson.

The judges awarded the duo an incredible score of 39, putting them in second place on the leaderboard, underneath Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu.

Ahead of the dance, Rose told how there was a “surprise” for the deaf community part way through.

Raising awareness of the hard of hearing community, Rose and Giovanni performed in silence for part of their routine.

At the end of the moving dance, Giovanni told Rose “I love you”, which was picked up by his microphone.
