Ryan Giggs has been photographed arriving at court to face charges of assault and coercive control on Wednesday 28 April.
The former Manchester United player, 47, was pictured in a black suit and tie with a white shirt and a black face covering as he arrived at Manchester Magistrates Court.
Ryan is charged with causing actual bodily harm to his PR executive ex girlfriend Kate Greville at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester.
Football coach Ryan is also facing additional charges of engaging in coercive or controlling behaviour against his ex over a three year period.
He was also arrested with common assault against a woman in her 20s – understood to be Kate’s younger sister Emma.

During the court appearance, he spoke only to confirm his name, address and enter his plea. Giggs plead not guilty to all three charges.
He has been bailed to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday 26 May and his not allowed to contacted his ex girlfriend or her sister, or go anywhere they are.
Ryan was in a relationship with Kate from December 2017 to November 2020. The football coach was arrested on suspicion of assaulting Kate in November following reports of a disturbance at his home.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said at the time: “Police were called at 10.05pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance. A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault.”
However, Giggs denies the allegation following the announcement of the charges on Friday.
He said: “I have full respect for the due process of law and understand the seriousness of the allegations.
“I will plead not guilty in court and look forward to clearing my name.”
Police were called to Giggs’ address on Sunday 1 November and a woman in her 30s was treated for her injuries at the scene.

Giggs was arrested and later later bailed pending further inquiries. He was charged earlier this week.
Meanwhile, the Football Association of Wales confirmed assistant manager Robert Page will take charge of Wales at this summer’s European Championships.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) said: “The FAW can confirm that Robert Page will assume the role of manager for this summer's Euro 2020 tournament.”
Following the announcement, Giggs shared a statement which read: “I would like to wish Robert Page, the coaching staff, the players and the supporters every success at the Euros this summer.”
According to reports, Giggs met Kate when she was working on PR for his Hotel Football business venture. It is understood she took up a new PR consultancy post in July with a former employer.
