Comedian Sean Lock tragically died last week after a secret battle with lung cancer. In an emotional show last night, panel series The Last Leg paid tribute to the much-loved comic.

The Last Leg returned with a new series chronicling the goings-on at the Paralympics last night.

This saw Alex Booker, Adam Hills and Josh Widdicombe return with the special comedy show.

Across the episode, the presenters discussed the opening ceremony of the Tokyo games.

However, it was the ending that left viewers emotional as it paid tribute to comedian Sean.

His death was announced last week after his secret two-year battle with lung cancer.

The 58-year-old known for his stand-up and appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats spent his last few months in a hospice.

The Last Leg dedicated their episode to him with a credits card airing at the end of the show.

This simply read: “In memory of Sean Lock.”

As well as this, the show also shared a clip of him on the series.

This was back during their coverage of a previous Paralympic games when they played “Is it ok?”.

After Josh asked: “If you have your photo taken with Ellie Symonds, should you kneel down?”

Sean then proceeded to joke: “Well, it depends how tall you are, doesn’t it?”

Sean appeared on the panel show several times over the years.

The moment inspired many viewers to take to Twitter to share their reactions to the moment.

One wrote: “Unexpectedly hit by that Sean Lock tribute, still can’t believe he’s gone #thelastleg.”

A second shared a gif crying as they wrote: “God, that Sean Lock clip at the end.”

A third added: “@TheLastLeg Tear inducing seeing Sean Lock.

“Going to miss his humour.”

“We miss you, Sean,” added another while a fourth wrote: “Oh what a nice tribute to sean lock #TheLastLeg”(sic).

A fifth tweeted: “That tribute to Sean Lock… loads of emotions! #thelastleg.”
