Shakira, 44, has claimed she was “attacked and robbed” by wild boars while she was in a Barcelona park with her son. The singer said the animals, who took her bag into the woods, “destroyed” her belongings.
Speaking in Spanish in an Instagram Story, the pop star said: “Look at how two wild boars which attacked me in the park have left my bag.
“They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it.
“They’ve destroyed everything.”
Turning to her son, who could be seen walking off in the background, she added: “Milan tell the truth.
“Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar.”
But this was not the first wild animal encounter the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker claims to have had.
In 2012, Shakira took to her Facebook to tell her fans she had been “attacked” by a sea lion.
Speaking about the incident whilst on tour, Shakira wrote: “Special Report: Attacked by a Sea Lion.”
She continued: “This afternoon I happened to see some sea lions and seals…
“Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me.
“Everyone there screamed, including me.
“I was paralysed by fear and couldn’t move.
“I just kept eye contact with it while my brother ‘Super Tony’ jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast.”
The singer managed to escape the encounter unscathed, but she and her brother had their “hands and legs scratched” on rocks during their escape.
She added: “I believe what happened is that it confused the shiny reflection of the Blackberry I was taking these pics with, with some sort of fish.
“It probably thought I was teasing it with food and then taking it away from it.”
Shakira later added: “Now I’m off to see some penguins! I hope they are a bit more friendly!”
Earlier in her career, in 2002, the star was attacked by a man during a promotional appearance.
The singer was onstage at a shopping centre, when the male armed with a bag of cement dust tried to get to her.
However, the attacker missed, and Shakira was dragged off-stage by her security.
