Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly Ramsay laughed as Nikita Kuzmin, 23, jokingly claimed her dad’s hair looked much better in his younger years than it does now. The 20-year-old and the professional dancer were seen watching a montage of her childhood memories as she dedicated their latest routine to her family.

In the VT, an unearthed video from her show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch appeared on screen.

“You look so different,” Nikita said as Tilly aged 12 was seen with her dad.

He went on to say: “Gordon’s hair is better there than now,” which prompted her to laugh.

In the VT, the chef went on to detail stories about his daughter in her younger years.

He told viewers she had a love for cooking from a young age and used to sleep in a pink chef jacket.

Of their father and daughter bond, he added: “Tilly and I, we just click.”

As more pictures of the pair were shown to viewers, Gordon continued: “We just have this moment together, a bond.”

He went on to say he doesn’t think Tilly knows about her own potential as of yet.

Gordon’s wife Tana watched the dancing duo score their first 40 tonight.

The pair were praised by the judges for their energetic couples’ choice routine to Matilda’s Revolting Children.

Tilly’s top scoring performance comes following two weeks of being in the bottom two.

Last week, judges saved the pair against Aljaz Skorjanec and Sara Davies in the dance-off.

Gordon and his family have shown their support for Tilly and Nikita throughout the competition.

Last month, he took a humorous swipe at the dancer about his appearance on Halloween week.

For their Cha Cha Cha routine, the pair dressed as Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s bride.

The dancer wore his shirt slightly open for the performance, which was noticed by Gordon.

The outspoken chef couldn’t resist mocking Nikita on a video call, as he said: “Tilly, Nikita, it’s your dad, dancing instructor extraordinaire.

“That performance was exceptional, and then I think about the 45-50 hours this week that you’ve put in training.

“Honestly, that Cha Cha Cha, Nikita, that’s what you and I have been discussing all month long.

“One little issue, Nikita, you and I have been talking for many months now. You know Frankenstein always has his top button done up. Come on, man. Get rid of the six pack. It’s a family show. Really?”

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 7.15pm on BBC One.
