#SuratFireTragedy: Amitabh Bachchan, Urmila Matondkar and other celebs extend heartfelt condolences for the young souls who lost their lives | Bollywood Life

It’s really saddening to hear the news of teenagers dying in the fire accident in Surat. As per the latest reports, the death toll has risen to 20 while several others are injured in the fire accident at a coaching center in Sarthana area of Surat. The coaching complex was located on the third and fourth floor of the Takshashila complex. The horrifying videos of the tragedy are surfacing the internet. Several kids are seen jumping off the building to escape the fire. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has put the figure at 20. “As per the information received, 20 students have died in the fire. Many others were injured and shifted to a hospital,” Nitin Patel told in an interview to a leading news portal.

Students, mostly teenagers, died “either due to suffocation or jumping off from the complex”, the deputy CM said. “We have ordered a detailed inquiry into the incident. We will not spare those found guilty,” Nitin Patel said. While that’s that, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Urmila Matondkar, Bhumi Pednekar took to their social handles to express their condolences.

Taking to his twitter handle, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 3174 – Terrible tragedy in Surat .. a devastating fire and 14-17 year old children caught in it jump off the building and perish .. Grief beyond expression .. prayers ” Have a look at his tweet here:

Urmila Matondkar too took to Twitter to express condolences. She wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the Fire Tragedy in #Surat today. My condolences go out to the grieving families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Have a look at her tweet here:

Bhumi Pednekar took to twitter and wrote, “My condolences to the families of the victims..may their souls rest in peace.This is so heartbreaking ?? Director Onir Dutt too extended his prayers for the young souls. Taking to his Twitter, the director wrote, “Heartbreaking…. prayers for the children who are injured critically… those who flouted safety requirements must be charged with murder . #Surat
