Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore BEATS Uri, Bharat and Mission Mangal at the box office – here’s how | Bollywood Life

Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore has turned out to be a huge winner at the box office. The film witnessed a great growth on Tuesday and raked in Rs 10.05 crore yesterday, with this figure, it turned out to be the second-highest first Tuesday grosser after Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh. It has beaten biggies like Bharat, Kabir Singh and Uri to achieve this feat at the ticket windows.

Chhichhore – Rs 10.05 crore
Uri – Rs 9.57 crore
Bharat – Rs 8.30 crore
Mission Mangal – Rs 7.92 crore

Chichhore is jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson. For Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Tushar Pandey, Varun Sharma and Naveen Polishety in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Dangal helmer Nitesh Tiwari and was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on August 30 but later averted the clash with Prabhas and Saaho starrer Saaho.

Talking about the film’s success director Nitesh Tiwari said, “We are really happy with the audience love to the film and that’s enough for us. I don’t think much about money because there will be times when your film will work at the box-office and there will be times when your film will not work at the box-office. So, we just want the audience’s love and support for this film for a longer period.” When he was asked if his latest film will be able to reach the Rs 100-crore mark at the box-office. The film has received rave reviews across the country. Our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “Chhichhore is a film that leaves you with a huge smile on your face. It is heart-warming and introspective. You will enjoy irrespective of whether you ever lived in a hostel or not.
