Darbar: Salman Khan will unveil the Hindi version, while Kamal Haasan will be the first one to share it in Tamil and Telugu followed by Mohanlal, who will unveil the motion poster of the Rajinikanth’s film in the Malayalam language

Tomorrow will be one of the happiest days of all Thalaivar fans as the motion poster of Rajinikanth’s upcoming biggie Darbar will be unveiled on social media at 5:30 pm. And the film is expected to be a blockbuster right from its first glimpse as all the biggest celebs from the country are coming together to launch this motion poster. While Salman Khan will unveil the Hindi version, Kamal Haasan will be the first one to share it in Tamil and Telugu followed by Mohanlal, who will unveil the motion poster of the Malayalam version. Well, this news is more than exciting for all Thalaivar fans, what say?

The multilingual film, which will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, will see Rajinikanth as an IPS officer. The actor has played the character of a cop earlier in films like Hum, Geraftaar, Moondru Mugam and Pandiyan. The film also stars Dalip Tahil, Chemban Vinod and Prateik Babbar in key roles. Prateik, who is playing lead antagonist in the film earlier told Mirror, “It has been my aspiration to share screen space with a legend like Rajinikanth sir. I can’t wait to meet him and observe him on set. I have been appreciated for characters with grey shades and I am investing my 200 per cent in this role because it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.”

Talking about Darbar, the film is directed by AR Murugadoss, the man behind Ghajini, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, Akira, Sarkar (Tamil) and many more. After Chandramukhi and Kuselan, this is the third time Nayanthara will be teaming up with the 68-year-old star.

Darbar is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, who previously produced Rajinikanth’s last blockbuster 2.0. Ace lensman Santosh Sivan is cranking the camera for Darbar, while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the album. The editing of the film will be done by Sreekar Prasad. Darbar is set to hit the screens in Pongal 2020.
