In the month of February, Dr Rajasekhar fans were elated as the actor had a surprise in store on the occasion of his birthday by releasing the first-look poster of his upcoming film, Shekar. The film, which is directed by Lalith, is produced by Rajashekar’s daughters Shivani and Shivathmika along with MLV Satyanarayana. Sekar is touted to be an edge of the seat thriller. Sekhar was supposed to go on floors last year. However, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, delayed the shoot of the film.
Now according to the latest report, the makers of Sekhar have roped young Malayalam actress Anu Sithara in Dr Rajasekhar starrer to play the female lead. Sekhar is an official remake of Malayalam drama Joseph.
Anu Sithara started her career in the film industry as a child artist with Pottas Bomb in 2013 and her debut role as a lead actress was in Omar Lulu’s Happy Wedding which was released in 2016. Currently Anu has few movies in her kitty Momo in Dubai, Vathil and Duniyavinte Thathattu which are in the different production stages.
On the otherside, Dr Rajasekhar also has a film Arjuna lined up for release, in which he plays a dual role. The film Arjuna was supposed to hit screens in March but got postponed due to the lockdown.
