EastEnders favourite Robbie Jackson is set for an explosive return in the next few weeks – and he won't be coming back alone.
Dean Gaffney's popular character has not been seen on screen since he flew out to India to see his son at the start of the year.
Robbie got on a last-minute flight out of the country after Stuart Highway generously stumped up the cash for a ticket.
EastEnders have revealed on their website that Robbie will finally be returning to Albert Square in just under two weeks.
In the episode synopsis for Monday June 3, it reads: "Kat drops a bombshell leaving Stacey furious. Robbie returns to the Square but he’s not alone. Tensions simmer between Phil and Louise."
Actor Dean previously explained his character has been soul-searching in India – and he might not be coming back alone.
On Robbie's return, Dean told the Daily Star : "He's gone to right some wrongs, cross some T's and dot some I's.
"When he comes back, which is not too long now, is he alone, has he found love?"
Dean has praised new soap boss Kate Oates and is excited by what she has planned for Walford.
He feels that his screen time is going up with Kate at the helm.
Teasing her plans, he added: "Before, it was just four episodes here and there for me. But now I'm back full-time and it's a nice feeling."
Robbie was introduced to Albert Square in 1993, axed a decade later in 2003, before being brought back in 2017.
Dean also admitted it would be hard to leave the soap after 26 years playing Robbie.
What will happen when Robbie heads back to Walford?
