Gavin and Stacey is coming back to our screens – and Larry Lamb has let slip some details about the Christmas special.
The Mick Shipman actor admitted he was stunned to receive a phone call from James Corden , who created the popular BBC series with Ruth Jones.
Larry, 71, admitted he cried while reading the "poignant" first scene from the Christmas special.
The cast are coming back together for the first time in nine years, but sadly one much-loved star of the show will be missing.
Welsh actress Margaret John, who played Stacey's hilarious neighbour Dorris O'Neill, passed away in February 2011.
Larry revealed that filming on the hour-long special will start soon but remained tight-lipped on the details.
Speaking on This Morning, he said: "It's amazing what James and Ruth have managed to do.
"I’ve finally read the script. It got me. I just started to read the first little sequence and found myself crying.
"It's like running into somebody who was a major part of your life, and your just so happy about it that it didn’t matter what they were doing.
"It wasn’t funny or anything, it was just so poignant. I waz immediately into the feeling of the whole thing. It just sort of took me along."
Presenter Ruth Langsford tried to push for more information by asking about where the action would take place.
She suggested that Pam and Mick's Essex home would have more room for the whole gang to assemble, but Larry was not giving anything away.
On the moment he found out the news, Larry said: "It was really odd. I was about to make this phone call then all of a sudden I’ve got this LA nubmer. 'Larry, it's James, James Corden.' And on it went for 10 minutes.
"He said 'look Ijust want to know if you’ll be available in the next little while because it looks like we're doing a Christmas special',
"It's quite extraordinary the whole thing. Hollywood-esque. Getting this call from a superstar in LA saying 'we’re taking a trip down memory lane'."
This Morning viewers took to Twitter to air their excitement for the Christmas special.
"When you see @LarryLambTV on @thismorning and the excitement starts again," said one vfan.
Another added: "Yay! I’m so excited for a #GavinandStacey Christmas special"
James and Ruth announced the news on Monday – to the delight of millions of fans.
In a statement, they said: "Over the last 10 years we've talked a lot about Gavin and Stacey – where they might be today and what their lives might look like.
"And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one-hour special.
"We've loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy.
"We're so excited to get the chance to work with our fabulous cast and crew once more and to give fans of the show a festive treat this Christmas. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen."
*This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am
