To mark the 50th anniversary of David Bowie<\/b>‘s classic collection of cover songs, Pin Ups<\/b>, a Golden Jubilee limited edition half-speed mastered LP will be issued on October 20.<\/p>\n
This new pressing of Pin Ups<\/i> was cut on a customized late Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics from 192kHz restored masters of the original master tapes, with no additional processing on transfer. <\/p>\n
Originally released 19th October 1973, Pin Ups<\/i> was a collection of cover songs paying tribute to bands and artists that had inspired Bowie and that he had seen at clubs such as The Marquee in London in the mid to late 60s. <\/p>\n
The album reached No. 1 in the U.K. <\/p>\n
