Holly Willoughby’s This Morning exit has reportedly decreased ITV’s share price by 0.61 per cent overnight.<\/p>\n
According to industry data platform AltIndex, the drop is estimated to have hit the company’s value by a minimum of \u00a320million.<\/p>\n
The data comes after its share price reportedly dropped by 16 per cent in the last six months.<\/p>\n
Holly announced she had quit the show on Tuesday evening, in what she called a “difficult goodbye” following 14 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
An AltIndex spokesperson said: \u201cHolly Willoughby\u2019s This Morning exit has already hit ITV in the pocket with possibly further loss in revenue still to come should sponsors and advertisers reduce their spend now the broadcaster\u2019s star presenter is no longer the face of their flagship daytime show.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Last night, Holly thanked fans and her team for their support in a lengthy announcement about her exit.<\/p>\n Part of it read: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.<\/p>\n “To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.<\/p>\n “This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.<\/p>\n “Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.<\/p>\n “Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.”<\/p>\n Following her exit, Kevin Lygo, managing director of media and entertainment at ITV, said Holly remained “a much loved member of the ITV family” and said he looked forward to working with her in the future.<\/p>\n The statement opens the door for Holly to continue hosting Dancing On Ice when the new series returns next year.<\/p>\n On the show today, This Morning also paid tribute to their much loved presenter.<\/p>\n Host Rochelle Humes told viewers that Holly “loved her job here and was really looking forward to the future of the show but recent events, especially in the past week, have been hard to deal with and she’s quite rightly putting her family first”.<\/p>\n Craig Doyle added: “On behalf of everyone here, in front and behind the camera, we just loved working with Holly. She made coming to work so much fun. We are really, really sad and we’re really going to miss her.”<\/p>\n He went on to say Holly’s decision to leave was “heartbreaking” but as she knew “too well, the show must go on”.<\/p>\n
