The Weeknd<\/b> has postponed the Australia and New Zealand leg of his “After Hours Till Dawn Tour” due to “unforeseen circumstances.”<\/p>\n
According to reports, fans received an email from the ticketing companies about the cancellation. <\/p>\n
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia\/New Zealand tour,” says the mail. “New dates will be announced next year and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can’t wait to be there with you!”<\/p>\n
Australian ticketing company Ticketek posted the message on The Weeknd’s tour page. <\/p>\n
A statement from Live Nation Australia & New Zealand reads, “We understand fans will be disappointed, and Live Nation is focused on working with The Weeknd to secure a new tour schedule. We will make a further announcement as soon as possible.”<\/p>\n
The Weeknd was scheduled to embark on an 11-date trek to Australia and New Zealand, starting November 20, to celebrate his 2020 album After Hours<\/I> and 2022 record Dawn FM<\/I>. Both records led the ARIA Albums Chart.<\/p>\n
He was scheduled to play two concerts at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, three shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, four dates at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, and two dates at Auckland’s Eden Park.<\/p>\n
Mike Dean<\/b> and Chxrry22<\/b> had been named to open for The Weeknd.<\/p>\n
