Strictly bosses 'fear Amanda Abbington will quit the show'

Strictly bosses ‘fear Amanda Abbington will quit the show’ following her pulling out at the last minute and ‘sharing quote about mental health’

Strictly Come Dancing bosses are said to be fearful Amanda Abbington will quit the series after pulling out of Saturday’s show at the last minute.

The Sherlock star, 49, reportedly shared a poignant post about mental health after it was revealed she and partner Giovanni Pernice, 33, would skip dancing on medical grounds.

And now The Sun reports producers are concerned Amanda, who hasn’t addressed the reason for her absence, will opt to leave the competition all together as she ‘won’t be ready’ to compete again next week.

Former Strictly pro AJ Pritchard, 28, told the publication: ‘Amanda will have been putting her body through a regime she isn’t used to and putting muscles under strain’.

‘It’s important that she gets the rest that she needs now.’
